Search for jobs or build a resume at www.MinnesotaWorks.net

Access from the WorkForce Center Resource Area:
• Click “Registering for the first time? Click here.” Follow prompts to create an account.
• Create a username, password, secret question, and answer. The answer must be one word. Store this info.
• Read rules and messages.
• Double-click on MinnesotaWorks.net
• Type the Username and Password you just created in the website’s upper right-hand corner.
• Click LOG IN.
• On left side list (in orange), click “Search for jobs” or “Resumes”.

Access from any Internet connection:
• Go to www.MinnesotaWorks.net
• Click “Job Seeker Registration”
• Follow prompts to create an account.
• Create a username, password, secret question, and answer. The answer must be one word. Store this info.
• Find “Search for jobs” and “Resumes” on left side list in orange.

To search for jobs:
• Log in at www.MinnesotaWorks.net in the upper right-had corner with your username and password.
• Click on “Search for Jobs” on left side list in orange.
• In the Keyword Search box, type a company name, a job title, or other keyword.
• Use an asterisk * at the end of a series of letters to find results with those letters and anything following. Example: weld* (this will find weld, welder, welding or welded).
• Use quotation marks “…” to find results searching for a phrase or specific employer. Example: “Acme Quality Management”
• You can also use quotation marks “…” to search for multiple phrases at once. Example: “truck driver” or “CDL”
• Choose any or all search filters and click on “Search” at the bottom.

Build a resume:
• Log in at MinnesotaWorks.net
• Click “Resumes” on left side list in orange.
• Click “Create or Upload Resume”.
• Choose “Create”, “Paste” or “Upload”.
• Complete all required boxes.
• Click “OK” to let employers see your resume.

Career Information: Easy-to-use Internet based computer programs are available to help you decide on a career, find educational programs, select a school, locate financial aid, learn job search skills, or plan for self-employment.
Civil Service: Links to federal, state, and county employment listings.
Veterans: Veterans’ reps are available to help with training, VA assistance, and referrals. *Veterans may request an appointment with an experienced Veteran Specialist by calling Charlie at 763-279-4471.
Unemployment Insurance: Apply for unemployment insurance benefits using the Applicant Self-Service System online at www.uimn.org or by phone 1-877-898-9090/651-296-3644.
