Youthbuild

The purpose of Career Solution’s Minnesota Youthbuild program is to provide at-risk youth ages 16-24 with an opportunity to learn construction trades while contributing to their community. Specialized training in the building trades develops participants’ construction skills while helping communities expand or improve housing for economically disadvantaged populations and the homeless.

CareerQuest

This program is designed to help high school students prepare for life after graduation. Explore career and training options, gain work skills, and learn how to be successful after high school.


LEARN & EARN

LEARN & EARN is an 8-10 week program designed to help young adults gain work skills, increase English and math skills, work towards obtaining a diploma and gain employment with sustainable wages.

Work-Based Learning

On-the-Job Training

A contract between Career Solutions and the business that documents the training they will provide for a new employee. Hands-on training designed to address the gap between the new employee’s existing skills and job skill requirements.


Work Experience

Work Experience is a short-term, structured employment experience (up to 28 hours/ week) that takes place at a private, public, or nonprofit business.


Registered Apprenticeship

Employer–driven model that combines on-the-job learning with related classroom instruction that increases an apprentice’s skill level and wages. It is a proven solution for businesses to recruit, train, and retain highly skilled workers.
