Tammy Biery – Executive Director
Tammy is responsible for organizing, directing, coordinating, measuring and reporting outcomes about the operations of Career Solutions towards the attainment of plans established by the boards and Council and in compliance with laws, rules, policies, and contracts. Tammy works with multiple programs and partners to use resources to encourage joint participation and collaboration to achieve needed outcomes. She is also involved in the Immigrant Employment Connection Group community initiative an is a member of the Steering Committee for Partners for Student Success, focused on career and college readiness of high school students in St. Cloud.
Prior to joining Career Solutions, Tammy was the director of Administrative Services at Resource Training & Solutions and was part of the Executive Leadership Team. She was responsible for operations, managing member communications, and other initiatives that are in alignment with the strategic plan. One of her greatest accomplishments at Resource was to lead the building project, in coordination with strategic alliances, to develop a convertible, collaborative office and education center in Sartell, MN.
Tammy has 20 years of experience in sales and marketing program development that have been designed to support corporate strategic initiatives. She has led teams of all ages in all areas of marketing-product development, packaging, market research, program development, marketing communications, branding, and training.

Ileana Merten – Development Director
Ileana joined the team at Career Solutions in July of 2017. She has over 25 years of experience in fund and program management, event planning as well as Human Resources. In her role at Career Solutions she is responsible for managing overall programs and funding streams. Ileana loves working at Career Solutions as it aligns with her passion of workforce development and education.

Angie Dahle, GCDF – Business Development Specialist
Angie started working for Career Solutions (formerly SBETC) in 2000. For most of that time she was a Career Planner on the Dislocated Worker team where she provided career counseling and coaching to assist job seekers in developing attainable career goals. Her focus was primarily on assessment, career exploration, career change, personal career development, selection for training, monitoring and job placement.
Angie has most recently started working as Career Solutions – Business Development Specialist in 2016 where she is responsible for marketing, connecting businesses with resources & job seekers, coordinating career fairs and other workforce development activities, facilitating monthly HR networking groups, coordinating and supervising interns, and serving as one of Region 3’s Rural Career Counseling Coordinators (RC3).

Kari Court – Administrative Assistant
Kari provides administrative support to Career Solutions. She enjoys working at Career Solutions because she knows she can make a difference! Whether that is helping her co-workers with projects or being there for someone when they need extra support, Kari is always there to lend a helping hand.
Hometown: Cold Spring, MN
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Management with Human Resource Concentration from St. Cloud State University (SCSU).
Volunteer Experience: While earning her college education, Kari worked 30+ hours per week, secured an internship and volunteered for the 4-H Horse Program. This volunteering continues throughout her career as it is one of Kari’s passions. She not only educates youth on how to ride horses but she mentors and empowers youth in a positive manner.
Chris Perrier, GCDF – Career Planner – Youth (HECAP) Team and Dislocated Worker Team
Hometown: St. Cloud. Chris’ family moved briefly to Sauk Rapids but the House of Pizza didn’t deliver there so they moved back.

Denise Hooper, GCDF, LSW – Career Planner – Youth Team

Sara Dahlquist, GCDF – Career Planner – Youth Team

Background: For over 22 years Sara has been working with youth and their families here in Central Minnesota. She feels she has been extremely fortunate to work in partnership with various youth serving agencies, local high schools and service providers to deliver training and education in Youth Advocacy/Youth Voice, Leadership and most recently in Career Development.

Background: Farhiyo is currently a Licensed Graduate Social Worker. She completed her internship at Recover Health Resources; a mental health clinic that serves immigrant communities. At Recover Health Resources, Farhiyo developed skills through providing supervised services such as performing diagnostic assessments, creating individual treatment plans and facilitating psycho-education groups to clients with mental health issues and acculturation stress. She has also worked as a professional interpreter for almost five years where she worked in both community and medical settings with social service providers, doctors and nurses in counties, clinics and hospitals.
Farhiyo currently works for Career Solutions as a career planner and provides career planning and other services to dislocated workers.

Tammy Kraemer – Agency Administrative Assistant

Lisa Brown – CareerONE Summer Supervisor
Hometown: Eden Valley, MN
Education: BA from College of St. Benedict, St. Joseph, MN and MA from St. Mary’s University, Winona, MN.
Background: Lisa is currently a licensed elementary and middle school math teacher during the school year. She has been a teacher for 20+ years. Lisa has spent most of her teaching career in the 6th grade, but has taught 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades as well. She coaches junior high volleyball and high school track and field. Lisa has been a part of Career Solutions – Summer CareerONE program since 2002!
What Lisa likes to do in her spare time: Lisa likes to run – she has run 2 marathons, 5 half marathons and dozens of 5K and 10Ks. Lisa is also an avid reader and reads about a book a month.

Tamara Horton – Americorps VISTA (Volunteers in Service to America) Member, funded by the Initiative Foundation of Little Falls, MN.
Hometown: Crosslake, MN
Mission: To fight poverty on a local level by advancing programs and resources in an effort to help low-income clients find gainful and sustained employment. Tamara will be working for Career Solutions for one year: July 2017-July 2018. Her main responsibilities will be to assess the impact of Career Solutions job seeker services as well as enhance the job seeker services offered to our immigrant population.
Education: Bachelors’ of Science degree in Print Journalism, minoring in Human Relations, St. Cloud State University, upon graduation in December, 2017.
Background: Tamara has extensive experience in management and customer service. She also worked in an office setting as a designer/customer service representative for a cabinet shop.
Hobbies: Tamara enjoys blogging, poetry and photography.
